Pavey - On Target to Raise £1000’s for Rowcroft

A 10 strong team from Pavey Group are on-target to raise £1,000s for Rowcroft Hospice after entering The Three Peaks Challenge and attempting to climb three of the highest mountains in the UK within a 24 hour period. The Challenge weekend, widely recognized as a grueling mountain endurance challenge in which participants attempt to climb Ben Nevis in Western Scotland (1344 m), Snowdon in North Wales (1085 m) and Scafell Pike in North-Western England (978 m), involves some 26 miles of ascent and descent, with a total travel approaching around 475 miles.

Although timing, daylight hours and bad weather conditions wouldn’t allow them to complete the final leg of the challenge, the team which included Nick Sanders, Graham Brown, Mark Harris, Simon Langler, Katie Runham, Kerry Lamare, Julian Head and Sandra Derrington, Tony Kireluk and Dawn Strong, had only celebration on their minds after a fantastic effort from all. Michael Pavey is on the board for Rowcroft Hospice and The Pavey Group is dedicated to raising money for this charity.
