HOLIDAY CANCELLATION INSURANCE
UK Plus Holiday Cancellation
Premier Cottages have their own Holiday Cancellation Insurance exclusive scheme provided to Pavey Group by P J Hayman & Company Limited to cover holidaymakers against having to cancel or curtail a holiday in the UK for a variety of insured reasons.
The cover is particularly wide and provides the following benefits:-
- Loss of Deposit, Cancellation or Curtailment in the event of illness, death, jury service, redundancy etc
- Medical repatriation and other expenses
- Personal Accident
- Personal Liability
- Personal Possessions and Money
- Additional Travel & Accommodation
- Vehicle breakdown
New Financial Services Authority regulations become effective on the 1 January 2009 which, unless the Premier Cottage member becomes directly authorised by the FSA, or an approved representative of an authorised business, the member cannot become involved in any part of the arrangement of the insurance.
Therefore for 2009, the Premier Cottage Holiday Cancellation insurance scheme will only permit members to distribute leaflets with the advice that arranging such cover is desirable.
All applications and premium payments will need to be handled by Pavey Group and a list of those guests effecting insurance cover will be notified to each holiday establishment. 10% commission is payable to participating members on premiums collected subject to an agreement being in place.

The premiums are very competitive and are based upon the total holiday cost, not per person, as follows:

£401-£800 £26.00
£801-£1,200 £34.00
£1,201-£1,600 £43.00
£1,601 - £2,000 £52.00
Each additional £50 £ 2.00
(maximum £6,000 but higher available on application)
Cancellation Excess Waiver £7.00 per booking
