Motor Insurance

Private Car, Commercial and Agricultural Vehicles may be insured on behalf of members either on an individual policy basis with each vehicle earning its own No Claim Bonus or a Mini Fleet basis (minimum of 5 vehicles).

Buggies/Quad Bikes and Ride on Garden/Agricultural machinery will generally require a minimum of Third Party Motor insurance cover – even though the use of such equipment is restricted to the grounds of the holiday cottage complex.

This arises because under the Road Traffic Act – a private car park or grounds to which the public (which includes guests) have access, may be regarded as a ‘public place’ and in such circumstances the provision of providing Road Traffic Accident cover applies.
